My Miracle Mantra
I am committed to maintaining Unwavering Faith that I will Create a professional photography business, and I will put forth Extraordinary Effort until I do, no matter what…there is no other option
The reason I am committed to my mission is because I will be able to live with less stress, enjoy my time off, and help Ron in creating and living the life we want to live together.
To ensure that the attainment of my mission is inevitable, I will remain committed to my process of working in and on my business 8 hours a day for 40 hours a week by creating and following my business plan, without being emotionally attached to my results.
I am committed to my mission and maintain Unwavering Faith while putting forth Extraordinary Effort, because I know that I am just as worthy, deserving, and capable of creating tangible, measurable miracles and achieving everything I want, as any other person on earth.
My Process Execution
What did I do today?
550 am: Woke up, fell back asleep until 730, got out of bed at 740, looked at my Master Resume, played with Cricket and the floss rope between cups of coffee, journaled about yesterday and reworked my process to be measurable and directed
943 am: got ready for the day, my jeans are no longer boyfriend jeans, they are just normal jeans
1107: goal - 10 minutes of bookkeeping. Actual - spent 44 minutes trying to process the final payment for 1 invoice, and annotate the profit first breakdown, including the bank fees.
1206 pm: create a mailchimp account, connect square and website to the mailchimp account, send email to sparkle workshops about missing workshop access.
209 pm:social media posts to Photography Business Page, Photography IG, Look Good Feel Good Facebook Group
3 pm: Worked on my USAJobs federal resume
6 pm: Mary Kay Leaders and Achievers zoom call. Alexa shared about the different skincare sets, and then we each shared a business tip. I ended up talking way more than I should have about using social media and how to reach and share information with our customers through facebook groups, facebook pages, facebook and Instagram stories, and how to motivate our members to engage, interact and join our communities.
7pm: while Ron reheated the leftover chicken penne and bread from last nights dinner, I continued working on my federal resume. After eating dinner, I continued working on it until around 10. I still had additional information to add for some of the jobs, but I was hoping it was a 70% solution, and would be ok to submit for the Lakewood, CO job. Ron only got through like 2 of the jobs by 1030. I was pretty annoyed that it was not even close to what would help get me past the Human Resources reviewer, so I did not submit the application, and we ended up going to bed. I know that if I don't submit it, I will never know, but he had so many changes to my duties and accomplishments for just those first 2 jobs that I was not going to get it in by midnight, and if I did, I would not be happy with the product. Looking at this obstacle as an opportunity, it enabled me to start making the corrections I need to so applying for a photo/video job will go much more smoothly and be less time consuming, because I will have most of the products completed and uploaded. This also gave me an opportunity to look at what my skills and accomplishments are, and where I can continue to grow, particularly with my business.
Assessment
I will assess my process and progress at the end of every work day on this blog. To assess I will answer the following questions
What was my biggest win towards my mission in the last 24 hours?
My biggest win was creating the email marketing account and connecting it to my website and e-commerce (square) processing
Did I follow through with my process?
I worked on a bookkeeping task, while it took me longer than 10 minutes, it is one less thing to do on my financial review day, which is today
I did work on a task from my list
I posted to 3 of the marketing channels
I did NOT complete a Peak Performance or a Storybrand Session Lesson
What was my biggest area of improvement?
My biggest are of improvement was working through a task to ensue I was making progress on my journey toward a measurable result
Is there anything I could be doing differently or better?
I can break down the larger tasks from my brain dump list to a more realistic, completable task. For example - Email Marketing: create mailchimp account, set up a campaign, create a landing page, establish a workflow, create another campaign, etc.
I am still learning about the uses of email marketing so there are other things to be done, but I have not learned or know what those are yet to generate growth for my business
What lessons have I learned so far?
It will be much easier for my to complete the marketing channel posts if I have a calendar and general idea, this is where a marketing plan would be the best product
Are there any changes/adjustment to my Process that I need to make?
Break down the tasks into accomplishable chunks
Is there anyone else I can reach out to for advice or feedback?
Review my mail workshop and see if there are any Joy of Marketing email ideas
