My Miracle Mantra
I am committed to maintaining Unwavering Faith that I will Create a professional photography business, and I will put forth Extraordinary Effort until I do, no matter what…there is no other option
The reason I am committed to my mission is because I will be able to live with less stress, enjoy my time off, and help Ron in creating and living the life we want to live together.
To ensure that the attainment of my mission is inevitable, I will remain committed to my process of working in and on my business 8 hours a day for 40 hours a week by creating and following my business plan, without being emotionally attached to my results.
I am committed to my mission and maintain Unwavering Faith while putting forth Extraordinary Effort, because I know that I am just as worthy, deserving, and capable of creating tangible, measurable miracles and achieving everything I want, as any other person on earth.
My Process Execution
What did I do today?
I woke up at 6, drank my coffee, and started my day at 830 am with writing the first section of the blog, and Day 0. I followed the Miracle Equation Challenge workbook, writing up all of the questions, mantras, my goals, process. I determined my top priority and process, and recited my mantras. I started work on my photography with culling images from the ROTC ball until Kelly called me at 1230. From 1230 to 1 I talked with Kelly about my Mary Kay process, what my priority is, and when I will be working on my business. I do not have definite times still for my Mary Kay Business, but I know that I need to keep it to a dedicated time, and it should be my secondary work, not equal to my photography. From 1 to 2 I made booking calls, going through my voicemails, and calling my Whispering Oaks leads. I also logged and tracked all of the calls I have made to ensure I am not wasting time on leads that have said no or already attended an event. I sent all of the leads from Alexa's family and friends to Alexa, since she is working her business and I want her to continue to be successful. I ate lunch at 2 until 230. Ron called me to tell me he was on his way home, and we were on the phone from 309 to 317. I created a calendar for the next 4 months to determine my marketing. When Ron got home, I finished the calendar with the dates I want to start and/or execute the events. Ron and I went over his notes from his marketing class to determine what 2 forms of marketing I will incorporate in addition to my digital marketing. This led to us arguing, again about my business, lack of income and focus, and the state of the house. The argument lasted for at least an hour. We resolved the argument by agreeing to try working with each other about my marketing, and instead of getting defensive, ask for help. He went and took care of the ducks, I took a shower, and we started working again on the marketing. We decided on Sales Promotion and Personal Selling, as the additional 2 marketing forms. The creative strategy we will use for Sales Promotion is News about product/service, where I promote a product I offer. I will do this in my Mother's day campaign, in conjunction with the creative strategy of embarrassment/anxiety about Dad's missing or getting a bad gift for Mother's Day. I also showed Ron the insights I have available from analytics of Facebook and Google about the reach I have currently, without a marketing plan. While he cooked dinner, I booked an appointment with one of the Whispering Oaks leads from today's earlier calls. From dinner on, I stopped working and we watched TV together and played Mario Cart.
Assessment
I will assess my process and progress at the end of every work day on this blog. To assess I will answer the following questions
What was my biggest win towards my mission in the last 24 hours?
My biggest win is deciding on my mission
Did i follow through with my process?
I started the process, but I did not work from 9-5, or work a total of 8 hours. I also did not complete my assessment, and am doing this on the morning of Day 2
What was my biggest area of improvement?
Writing a calendar with the marketing campaigns and determining the methods and creative strategy to apply to my first campaign
Is there anything I could be doing differently or better?
Start the day with getting ready for work like I would if I were going to a job, and then actually setting boundaries to execute my process and not allow interference
What lessons have I learned so far?
Ron is frustrated with the mess I have throughout the house and believes he will have to continue to support me because I have done nothing.
Are there any changes/adjustment to my Process that I need to make?
Not for day 2
Is there anyone else I can reach out to for advice or feedback?
Not that I have determined yet.
