The temperatures are finally starting to drop here in central Pennsylvania, and the weather is starting to match the season and the changing foliage. Preparing to photograph the staff of Top Notch Salon and gearing up for the holiday season, I went out on a hunt for some locations.
Raymond B. Winter State Park is about 15 minutes outside of Mifflinburg, in the Bald Eagle State Park. It is known for the swimming hole, but after labor day it is not frequented with the cooling temperatures. Even though the swimming season is over, there is still plenty of land and trails to explore, and that is just what I went out to do.
The sun was in the perfect location as the rays shined through the trees. There were so many interesting streams, fallen trees, knot holes and root systems. Even some large mossy areas of squishy green forest carpeting.
This weekend I challenge you to make a plan to go enjoy the beauty of a location you do not normally go to during the fall season. Enjoy the different colors, the smell of the air, the crispness of the wind, get out with your loved ones and appreciate the beauty around you.
Let me know some of the places you love to go, or would love to have pictures taken in the comments so I can keep exploring.
